Bespoke Design

Custom elements developed for the space its function and its character

Some spaces require elements that cannot be resolved through standard products. Our bespoke design service develops custom furniture, joinery and interior features that respond precisely to the project.

Each element begins with its purpose. We study scale, ergonomics, storage, material behaviour, hardware and the way the piece connects with the surrounding architecture. The design is then refined with the fabricator so that its proportions and details remain consistent from concept to installation.

Bespoke elements can be developed as part of a full project or as a defined commission for a particular space.

What This Service May Include

From Design to Fabrication

We aim for pieces that feel integral to the interior rather than added to it. Their form, material and construction should serve a clear function while contributing to the atmosphere of the space. Prototypes or material samples may be requested when the complexity of the design requires additional verification.

Scope clarification
Manufacturing and installation are carried out by appointed fabricators, contractors or suppliers. NineDesign Architects’ involvement during fabrication is defined in the agreed project scope.
