Good Lighting Gives Darkness a Purpose

Not every space becomes better when it becomes brighter. Some rooms need darkness to gain depth.

Not every space becomes better when it becomes brighter.

Some rooms need darkness to gain depth.

Darkness gives light a role.

It lets one wall appear, one table glow, one path become clear.

When everything is equally bright, nothing feels important.

But when light is controlled, the body starts to pay attention.

A shadowed corridor, a quiet corner, a warm pool of light over a dining table.

These are not decoration.

They are atmosphere made with restraint.

Good lighting does not remove darkness.

It gives it a purpose.
