Furniture does more than fill a room.
It quietly shapes how people meet and talk.
It may be a single chair turned slightly toward the group, placed close to a lamp, or positioned between the conversation and the view.
Its location influences whether the room feels open, private, or formal before anyone sits down.
We often place that chair first, then arrange the other pieces around the way people are likely to gather.
So the most important seat in the living room is not always the largest one.
It is the seat that starts the conversation.
